Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions - Boca Raton, FL

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing recruitment and onboarding activities and collaborating across Student Affairs, Academic Affairs and Business Services.

  • Plays a leadership role in B-Team – the leadership group in the onboarding of new students.

  • Responsible for engaging and mentoring admission counselors in best practices to contribute to the team’s overall success for recruitment and onboarding.

  • Manages a recruitment territory, using data, data analytics tools, and university's dashboards to drive decisions, and consider ROI in recruitment events, travel, and marketing efforts.

  • Travels for admissions/recruitment purposes.

  • Supports all on-campus recruitment events such as open houses and other divisional events.

  • Conducts performance reviews and sets goals with staff.

  • Accountable for goals within assigned territory, providing reports on productivity, and providing input to admissions and student affairs leadership to inform the bigger enrollment picture.

  • Communicates In-person, phone, email, text, and chat with potential students. Admissions staff members are required to be nimble and able to utilize and participate in these ways.

  • Thorough understanding of university policies, FL Board of Governors policies & procedures, and gives accurate information.

  • Performs other job related responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Associate Director.
