POSITION SUMMARY

 

As a Batching, Unloading, Slurry (BUS) Lead Technician, you will maintain system operations that control the freezer ASRS and conveyance to ensure proper throughput at a high efficiency and low cost.  You will maintain sanitation levels of all areas assigned and ensure all quality and safety requirements when performing job duties are met.

**This position will be a night shift role from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am**

 

  • Monitor operation of the freezer automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS), including troubleshooting inside freezer ASRS to work through system, mechanical, and unit load issues.
  • Contact the 24/7 helpdesk to open issues and work through unresolved problems.
  • Work with and assist Operations/Maintenance as they correct any problems within the ASRS systems, i.e., pallet jams, pallet tracking errors, sequencing issues, etc.
  • Collaborate directly with Team Leaders, communicate with other ASRS Specialists, BUS Technicians, Production Personnel, Operations Planning Management, and QA. 
  • Perform basic maintenance activities on freezer ASRS.
  • Attend Shift-Hand-Off (SHO) meetings with other BUS employees and share key information with incoming ASRS Specialist/BUS Technicians.
  • Attend weekly BUS Integrated Work Group (IWG) meetings to talk through ASRS performance, Key Standard Routine adherence, etc.
  • Create and respond to RedZone tags within the freezer ASRS to resolve issues and work with Maintenance ASRS Specialist to negotiate tags and schedule maintenance activities.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of controls, robotics, or similar experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, military, or related environment

 

Other

  • Automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) experience
  • 2-year electrical or controls degree

 

The hourly pay for this position is $32.75 an hour.  Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.  Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
