Job Title: BAS Server Admin

Location: Matthews, NC
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Novant Healthcare Plant Engineering Services  

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Building Automation System (BAS) Server Administrator. The primary role of this position is to maintain the customer’s BAS front end and ensure the system is functional, easy to use, and reliable. You will be expected to report to our office daily and be available to field requests from Plant Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive front-end maintenance - Identify and correct issues with site navigation, user access, and equipment visibility.
  • Project Integration - Incorporate Jace level work onto a supervisor while maintaining pre-existing format and structure.
  • Collaborate with IT team to resolve server-level issues and support facility operations.
  • Coordinate with off-site BAS support teams or vendors when necessary for complex diagnostics or upgrades.
  • Software Maintenance

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years experience with enterprise level BAS systems, preferably in a server maintenance role.
  • Familiarity with major BAS platforms (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, JCI).
  • Basic IT knowledge and familiarity
  • Tridium Niagara AX/N4 Certification
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service tasks.

Preferred Certifications (Not Required but a Plus):

  • Advanced Niagara 4 Certification Training
  • BAS manufacturer-specific training (Distech, Siemens, Honeywell, JCI, etc.)

Work Conditions:

  • Full-time, office setting.

Certifications (preferred but not required):

  • Niagara N4 Certification
  • Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Distech, Siemens P1, JCI FX, Honeywell WEBs)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and navigate mechanical rooms.
  • Work in varying environmental conditions including rooftops and outdoor enclosures.
