Barista - Breaking Grounds Cafe

Pay: $20.25-20.50

An amazing new opportunity has come up in our Community Employment Services! We are looking for a Per-diem Barista to join us at Breaking Grounds Café!

Job Summary: Maintains a clean café according to Breaking Grounds standards, pours and brews coffee, and provides a positive customer experience for guests.

Major Responsibilities:

• Provides quality customer service. Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
• Maintains a calm disposition when dealing with difficult or stressful situations. Asks for assistance when needed.
• Arrives on time for assigned shifts and fulfills shift assignments.
• Maintains high standards in the preparation and servicing of a variety of drinks and food.
• Ensures store profitability by following cash handling and cash register policies and procedures.

Qualifications: High school degree or equivalent, with previous Barista experience preferred. Must have weekend availability.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Familiar with computer programs including Microsoft Word and POS systems. Desire to provide a positive customer experience. Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask. Excellent verbal and written skills. Solid communication skills. Possess a current ServSafe Certificate, or able to obtain one upon hire. Must be fluent in English.
