Bariatric Office Coordinator, Clinic

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Office Coordinator to join our Bariatrics team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Provides a broad, multistep or touchpoint and varying range of administrative support of a confidential nature to the Bariatric Surgery & Weight Center patients, program supervisor, and interdisciplinary team members, contributing to the timely and efficient operation of the Bariatric Surgery Program. Interdisciplinary team includes frontline, providers, nurses, surgeons, dietitians, psychology, physical therapy provides ordering and supply management within multiple vendors, scheduling independent department appointments and coordination of multiple departments at various times in the client care (2nd set of appointments) and acting as the primary point of contact for the patient. This position provides key information and paperwork within the interdisciplinary team. Independently completes and maintains complex projects requiring a high degree of initiative. Works closely with third party payers and bariatric surgery program team members to obtain prior authorization for all surgical procedures. Responsible for lead nurturing and coordinating patient intake process. Responsible for data entry and maintenance of data integrity.
Work Schedule:
Fulltime 1.0, Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
College degree or equivalent medical office management training
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Highly motivated individual with extensive knowledge of medical office practices and procedures, including word processing, editing, personal computer and friendly telephone etiquette.
Strong verbal and written communication, human relations sensitivity, listening, knowledge of insurance plans desirable, accurate keyboarding skills, ability to promote and maintain good patient relations and patient confidentiality.
High skill set in problem-solving skills, including making connection across departments and systems, both internal and external.
Proven efficiency in the operation of the following: Personal computer (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, spreadsheet & database applications -Excel), telephone, voicemail, printer, photocopier and fax machine.
Insurance Company Portals for Prior Authorization, elidgiliby, and verify insurance criteria (those that are available electronically) currently 15 and any additional as they become available.

Previous experience in medical office support and/or management is preferred. Including procedures and medical terminology.
