Summary

SRP is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Banquet Cook to support the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals for meetings, events, and special functions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative hospitality team while helping create exceptional dining experiences for employees, guests, and stakeholders. The Banquet Cook will work closely with culinary professionals to prepare and present food that meets established standards for quality, consistency, and food safety. Through attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence, this position plays an important role in ensuring the successful execution of catered events and banquet services. What You'll Do

•    Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
•    Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
•    Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
•    Monitor food quality while preparing it
•    Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Maintains the highest sanitary standards
•    Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food
•    Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications
•    Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
•    Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
•    Assists in other areas of the kitchen as needed
•    Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
•    Ability to stand for long hours at a time
•    Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
•    Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisor
 

Education

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
