Your Purpose

 

We’re now looking to recruit an Assistant Category Manager  - Packaging,  to join our brilliant Procurement Team.

 

The Assistant Category Manager for Packaging (Western Europe) will be responsible for specified packaging strategies for small to medium categories and will support the Senior Category Manager for packaging on strategic projects when required.

 

For specified projects they will lead or support sourcing, supplier relationships and negotiations.

 

They will contribute to the AOP and LRP ambitions together with driving relationships that support top line growth for our business teams and maintain service quality where for assigned project or spend areas

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Execute strategies for specified categories or projects to deliver LRP ambitions against specified packaging procurement projects or strategies.
  • Drive AOP cost savings and improved working capital terms for specified projects. Align savings to the relevant financial plan. Lead or support negotiations with suppliers to achieve targets.
  • Build category strategies for assigned areas of spend or plans for projects which supports the LRP and packaging procurement targets.
  • Manage key internal and external relationships as assigned. Will partner with cross business functions day to day on key projects.
  • Negotiates and ensures contracts are in place for all key suppliers in assigned categories

  • Procurement experience.
  • Experience of negotiating, contracting, and managing suppliers.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiations skills.
  • Will have experience or can quickly learn to utilize key procurement IT tools and models.
  • Project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Will have some experience in managing cross functional relationships and stakeholders
