Senior DevOps Engineer

In this role you will get to:

• Strive for continuous improvement of the CI/CD Pipeline through the analysis of currently established environments/processes.

• Debug/Troubleshoot production related issues, and provide root cause analysis for production errors.

• Build tools to replace repeatable jobs and resolve issues, to improve Internal/Customer experience.

• Ensure cybersecurity best practices when implementing new infrastructure and technologies.

• Work directly with Development and SRE team members to resolve any CI/CD related issue, while following established processes and compliance.

• Participate in project planning of high level infrastructure solutions to provide technical knowledge of systems, risk, and impact.

• Document and communicate necessary specifications and information related to DevOps/Infrastructure.

• Perform routine application/infrastructure maintenance to ensure all environments are operating efficiently.

• Mentor and help coach junior engineers

Who you are: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 

• 7+ years of progressively complex related experience.

• An understanding of DevOps principles and a desire to push the organization further.

• Amazon Web Services including but not limited to EC2, EKS, ECR, IAM, VPCs, Security Groups

• Google Cloud Platform knowledge is a plus

• Kubernetes

• Kustomize

• ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and overall CI and CD knowledge

• Terraform and Terragrunt

• Managing databases including MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Couchbase.

• Monitoring tools including Loki/Grafana, Cloudwatch, Sumologic, DataDog, and NewRelic.

• Scripting languages such as bash, Python, and Ruby.

• Experience with project management software such as Jira.

• Good documentation skills.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant. The salary range for this position is $115,000K- $145,000K USD.
