The Enterprise Risk Organization (ERO) Chief of Staff Team provides governance and oversight to a number of senior management committee and Board activities, while also supporting broader ERO efforts around people and culture. The team is seeking a driven project manager to play a horizontal role supporting our chief of staff team. 

In this chief of staff team role you will have the opportunity to wear many hats and make an incredible impact on the ERO organization. You will lead the well-managed execution of several top of house processes and meetings. You will also play a critical role leading broader work to support our ERO culture and community. 

The right candidate for this role has excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead cross-functional work. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s eager to learn more about chief of staff roles & responsibilities and make an impact.

Responsibilities:

• Own the process and execution for top of house reporting and analytics functions

• Own and deliver top of house processes, some that support both ERO and the Credit & Financial Risk Management (CFRM) organization

• Support ERO’s Geography Strategy and oversee day to day space strategy work by managing stakeholders across ERO and working with Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) 

• Project manage critical parts of ERO’s new onboarding program, which supports our ~2k person team and ensures that we create a supportive onboarding experience for all new internal and external associates

• Support prioritized projects with our Talent Acquisition and Recruiting partners to support continued growth of our organization

• Support broader initiatives around building a strong and embedded risk culture across both our second line and company

• As needed, offer other ad-hoc consulting or operational support to major chief of staff projects or organizational needs/opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience

• At least 2 year of experience in Project Management or Event Management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation

• At least 4 years of experience supporting senior leadership 

• At least 4 years of experience in HR, associate experience, or associate engagement roles

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Project Manager
