Location: Remote with occasional travel within continental U.S.

SUMMARY: Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, Background Investigation Enterprise System Product Office, OPM PIPS Imaging System (OPIS) Development, Operations & Maintenance Support

Description:

· Oversee all aspects of the environments for the applications within the branch, including OPIS, FTS, eQIP and other NBIS related systems.

· Provide technical guidance around architectural changes needed to support the mission, as well as address any security concerns.

· Develop and execute a Patch Management Plan for Software and Hardware upgrades.

· Ability to work with external IT partners to troubleshoot issues and define a way forward.

· Ensure code quality, security, modifiability, and adheres to all standard requirements.

· Lead the production, update, and maintenance of system documentation.

· Set and enforce version control and concurrent version management standards for the development team.

· Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, .NET, Java etc.)

· Develop models, diagrams, and schematics of Background Investigation Enterprise Service (BIES) systems.

Experience:

· 8 years system Architect experience is preferred. 

· Demonstrated understanding of system development life cycle; software project management approaches; and requirements, design, and test techniques. 

· Experienced in DevOps best practices. 

· Familiarity with container platforms for custom built application (Docker, OpenShift, etc.). 

· Modern front-end web programming techniques (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, ES6, Event-driven APIs (e.g., event mesh) and libraries (e.g., Vue). 

· Proficient in Alfresco API.
