This role requires a blend of technical knowledge of the platform, project management skills, and commercial/financial expertise. The role would report into the Vice President Operations with a dotted line to the Vice President Marketing. Additionally, the ability to adapt quickly and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
The Strategic Technology Execution Director for our new D90 technology platform is a key role responsible for overseeing the introduction of the platform to the market. This job involves the following duties and responsibilities:
1. **Cross-functional Collaboration & Team Leadership:** Work closely with various departments such as R&D, marketing, sales, customer support, and finance to ensure a cohesive approach to the platform launch. Lead a virtual cross-functional team leading the deployment and launch of our D90 technology.
2. **Market Analysis:** Coordinate with marketing to continuously analyze market trends and customer feedback to make adjustments to the launch strategy. This includes keeping an eye on competitors and technological advancements.
3. **Strategy Development:** Develop and implement a comprehensive launch strategy for the new technology platform, considering market analysis, target audience, competitive landscape, and unique selling points of the platform.
4. **Project Management:** Oversee all aspects of the launch project, from planning to execution. This includes setting timelines, coordinating with different teams (like development, marketing, sales), and ensuring milestones are met as well as the planning of different roll-out stages, i.e. D90 readiness of sites, staged D90 equipment manufacturing (including make or buy decisions) and deployment, step-wise D90 implementation.
5. **Marketing and Promotion:** Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns. This involves the assessment of the customer perceived value of higher quality standards achieved with D90 technology vs. the potential maximization of machine speed.
6. **Budget Management:** Manage the budget allocated for the platform launch, ensuring resources are optimally utilized and costs are kept within limits. This includes the tracking of overall R&D and launch budget as well as the coordination of CAPEX approvals.
7. **Quality Assurance:** Coordinate with the quality assurance team to ensure the platform meets all technical and user experience standards before launch.
8. **Stakeholder Communication:** Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders. Provide regular updates to management and collaborate with partners or external equipment vendors as needed.
9. **Change Management Support:** Develop change management strategy including an up-skilling strategy for the workforce at our sites in close collaboration with Human Resources. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the change measures on a regular basis.
10. **Reporting and Documentation:** Create comprehensive reports on the launch's progress and outcomes. Document all strategies, challenges, outcomes, and lessons learned for future reference.
