American Energy Storage Innovations, Inc. has a full-time opening for a Senior Project Engineer in Hudson, Massachusetts.
Job Summary:
The Senior Project Engineer supports the technical aspects for customer Energy Storage System (ESS) projects. This individual provides support to the Principal Project Engineer and team, preparing subject matter services to customers and external third-party contractors for pre-engineered ESS products during the project lifecycle from initiation through commissioning and close-out.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and document project engineering activities to support customer ESS projects.
- Provide technical deliverables to support the completion of customer projects.
- Deliver safety, installation, testing, and O&M training and documentation to customers and contractors.
- Improve and provide process input to the project delivery process, including development of project engineering activities and procedures.
- Collaborate internally to create and review the scope of work documents for project contracts between customers and suppliers.
- Review site-specific engineering and design documentation.
- Support installation and start-up for ESS projects with the intent to have repetitive tasks performed by qualified subcontractors in customers’ scope.
- Perform site commissioning for ESS projects.
- Provide technical support for the resolution of product issues in the field.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activity with data-driven and structured problem-solving methods.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years related professional experience.
- Professional Engineering License preferred.
- Demonstrated engineering leadership and project management experience.
- Experience in product design and delivery of utility-scale electrical projects.
- Background in electrical equipment, energy storage, or power conversion equipment.
- Strong engineering and technical leadership skills in a high-tech, dynamic growth industry.
- Able to work under pressure and on fixed timescales.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%.

- May be required to travel to and navigate a variety of sites.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, stoop, push, pull, stand, and carry as needed to inspect, service, and operate machinery, equipment, and gauges.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather, including hot and cold temperatures.
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
