This role is a Software Developer to serve as a Baker Hughes Senior Application Operations Engineer.

The Senior Application Operations Engineer is part of our Implementation team working with Leucipa, the Baker Hughes platform focused on O&G Digital Oil Field.
 

As a Senior Application Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for:
 

• Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between data sources and specialized industrial applications

• Coding upstream-based workflows to automate processes in drilling, production, reservoir, and facilities

• Participating in upfront technical design sessions and pre-project estimations of effort

• Designing, developing, and unit testing implementations in accordance with established standards and agile principles

• Developing test scripts, documentation, and stress testing

• Supporting installation, deployment, and long-term project maintenance

• Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget

To be successful in this role you will:
 

• Have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline with proven relevant work experience

• Have a sound understanding of object-oriented programming, including languages like Python, C#, VB.Net; front-end web development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Have knowledge of libraries such as Highcharts and Kendo UI

• Have a sound understanding of relational database design and querying concepts

• Be familiar with basic data management concepts and data handling issues surrounding variable data frequencies across broad subjects

• Have an understanding of Microsoft SQL and Oracle

• Have some knowledge of upstream O&G applications and data types including among others: Avocet, Energy Components, OpenWells, WellView, Cygnet, OSI-PI
