About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Inventory and Revenue Accounting to join our Accounting and Finance team. In this role, you will grow and develop our team of talented accountants to support our monthly operational reporting. You Will:
- Review month-end accounting activities, including all reconciliations to provide accurate inventory valuation and reporting and appropriate revenue recognition
- Oversee the accounting of multiple revenue streams as well as the design, implementation, and execution of scalable and effective processes for a more efficient close and control environment
- Works with accounting, supply chain and IT personnel to develop reconciliation process and understand significant changes in our inventory balances
- Establish, implement and document new policies and procedures related to inventory and revenue
- Enable an inventory team to assist in the 3 way match process, investigate inventory discrepancies, reach out to vendors as needed, help ensure timely payments for products.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and consultants surrounding revenue and inventory testing
- Assist with the technical accounting team to review contracts to determine appropriate accounting and recognition in compliance with ASC 606
- Performs monthly purchase price variance and inventory adjustment analysis.
- Analyzes quarterly inventory obsolescence and calculates provision for reserve.
- Prepares schedules and analysis required for external audit
- Ad hoc analysis related to inventory and COGS (cost of goods sold fluctuations).
- Prepare monthly actuals vs budget and gross margin analysis while partnering with FP&A to bridge variances
- Implement automated process solutions with a focus on simplification, standardization, and optimization, especially the reduction of manual, Excel-based activities
- Review and enhance all revenue deferral calculations Assist with other ad-hoc accounting and finance needs or projects
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in accounting with multi-site inventory operations experience.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, ASC 606, and ASC 705
- Knowledge of Oracle or similar enterprise resource planning systems would be a plus
- Experience with system integrations and development of automated processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent project management and leadership skills
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
Compensation:
- Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range below reflects what we’d reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. - Remote - Salary Range (varies based on a cost of labor index for geographic area within United States): USD $121,600 - USD $193,200
