The Role Remix: EMPIRE is looking for an experienced and proven Music Product Manager to join our downtown San Francisco office. This role will report into the Chief Product Officer and will manage, improve, and grow EMPIRE’s infrastructure while supporting the Record Label and Sound Recording Distribution organization as needed. 

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving and managing all phases of product requirements, design development, and launch to spearhead products from idea to reality. The Product Manager must gather, understand, and analyze similar and competitive products in the marketplace and  lead the development of products that fit into the company’s vision and business model, at the same time determining how to meet the needs of those, internally, who use the products.

• Develop product requirements working with key stakeholders, performing competitive and market analysis
• Oversee, construct, and manage department roadmap, platform integrations, and feature requests
• Collaborate cross functionally and with department stakeholders to update existing projects, pitch new ideas, define new requirements, test, and launch each development sprint cycle.
• Strategize and maintain existing operational tools for monitoring, deliveries, and internal database infrastructure and backend systems
• Research and examine all industry formats for Partnerships and Vendors
• Drive the development of  automation where possible – Internal UI tools and external automation exports

Key Notes for Success:

• 3+ years of experience managing products - ideally in a music label or music publishing company
• Product Wireframe development and UI/UX experience
• Solid foundation of Music Rights
• Experience using analytics to identify and understand product usage to help create new opportunities
• Bachelor’s Degree or similar skills and experience
• Must be based in San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate

Bonus Beats: 

• Proficient with Atlassian products including Jira and Confluence

Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000/annual salary 

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
