Your new role
We are in search of an accomplished Project Manager who is ideally familiar with the realm of research data, possesses a customer-centric mindset, and is committed to delivering excellence. As a key player in our team, you will orchestrate the seamless execution of tailored projects and the implementation of Dimensions. Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, from detailed planning to successful execution and closure, ensuring not only timely completion but also meeting specified requirements.
As the Project Manager, you thrive on being intricately involved in our software development lifecycle, aligning your projects with future developments and upholding a strong commitment to quality. Your role involves close collaboration with diverse teams at Digital Science, spanning from software development to product management. You possess a strategic emphasis, ensuring that your projects align seamlessly with the product life cycle both initially and over the long term.
Adept at communication and documentation, you excel in keeping track of progress and decisions. Your ability in data analytics enables you to independently run analyses for informed decision-making, impact assessments, and quality evaluations. Taking ownership and feeling a sense of accountability for the entire lifecycle comes naturally to you. Your commitment to successful outcomes extends to actively engaging in testing deliverables.

What you’ll be doing
- Plan, coordinate, execute, and close custom projects and implementations
- Collaborating with software developers, product managers, QA, Support and Client Success Teams to scope and deliver projects
- Build up expertise and begin to contribute directly to our support team by assisting with expertise and replying to 3rd level support questions
- Coordinating new projects and new releases, writing technical documents, and contributing to testing and validation to ensure quality and performance of our products
- Liaising with cross-functional technical teams to build collaborative relationships for successful product delivery
What you’ll bring to the role
- a strong background in agile software development
- a degree in an IT subject or considerable amount of proven experience as IT product owner in a fast-paced agile environment
- excellent organisational skills, the ability to run meetings and help schedule delivery as part of agile software development projects
- ‘can-do’ attitude collaborating across flexible and cross-functional teams in software and data science
- the honed skill to communicate with software developers, product managers and customer success team
- a good understanding of working with modern web applications
- a good understanding of SQL
- a familiarity with the realm of research data would be advantageous, but not essential
