About the Role 
 

We are seeking a QA Engineer to work on our CCleaner Desktop product. Your main responsibility will be to assist in investigating and executing tests of new cleaning rules/definitions as well as an opportunity to participate in adding new cleaning rules/definitions to our cleaning library. 

The role will start manual with the potential to further develop and extend into expanding the automation suite. Other responsibilities will include working on new features of CCleaner alongside your peers. 

What You Will Do in This Role:

  • Adding to and maintaining our automated test suite 

  • Perform user-based testing across our products 

  • Participating in product sprints, including sprint planning and scrums 

  • Review requirements and specifications within tickets and projects to identify risks, set up testing requirements/acceptance criteria and provide timely and meaningful feedback 

  • Work alongside developers and product manager to ensure the quality of the product 

  • Liase with various internal team members, effectively communicating issues and providing support 

  • Researching new technologies and provide proof of concepts where necessary 

  • Work with the support team to identify and diagnose production issues 

  • Work with the product team to identify testing requirements for products 

  • Work with the development teams to implement and test changes to products 

  • Work as part of a cross-functional team 

What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role

  • Basic knowledge of C# 

  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium Webdriver, WinAppDriver 

  • Possess a computing or engineering education and background 

  • Min. 2-3 years' experience working in QA

  • Communicate concisely, clearly, and effectively 

  • Proven experience in creating full test plans for software or websites 

  • Experienced in testing across all major Windows operating systems and browsers, including older versions 

  • Understanding of multiple testing methodologies and techniques Understanding of the development life cycle 

  • Experience working within an Agile team 

  • Proactive team player with good attention to detail 

  • Self-motivated, self-organized and accountable 

Desirable:

  • Technical and working knowledge of Windows OS 

  • Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins/Teamcity 

  • Experience with batch scripts or powershell 

  • Basic knowledge of Python
