As part of our dynamic CSR team, you'll be responsible for processing screenings across various categories including identity, criminal history, employment verification, education, licenses/certificates, and occupational health. Responsibilities include engaging with clients and candidates to ensure a smooth and accurate process, coordinating with vendors for timely information retrieval, and upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in background checks or related startup industries, along with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic environments. While familiarity with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is preferred, it's not required. Join our team and be part of something impactful!

What you'll do -
- Process screenings for background checks using in-house and third-party vendors and technologies with screenings in categories such as identity, criminal, employment, education, licenses/certificates, occupational health, and more.
- Engage with clients and candidates to ensure swift, accurate, and user-friendly completion of background checks and compliance verifications, maintaining a seamless experience throughout.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners to retrieve information accurately and on time.
- Apply knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Interpret court dockets to extract relevant information crucial for background checks
- Utilize understanding of search scope to optimize search capabilities and provide value-added services to clients, enhancing overall satisfaction and outcomes.
- Analyze disposition codes and outcomes obtained from criminal record searches, identifying key details such as convictions, dismissals, or pending charges to inform decision-making accurately.
- Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries from customers and candidates and address concerns or assist on time.
What you'll bring -
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in background checks or related startup industries demonstrating a solid grasp of screening procedures.
- 3+ years of relevant professional work experience in customer service and/or technical support
- Familiarity with FCRA; FCRA Accreditation a plus
- Strong writing and communication skills, and comfortable communicating in a remote setting
- Self-motivated and adaptable to dynamic work environments, capable of managing shifting priorities and deadlines as is common in a startup environment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

- The expected base compensation for this role is between $45,000 - $60,000 as a base pay for work performed in the United States. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience level, transferable skills, education, location, business needs, training, and market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
