Zurich’s Complete-a-Bachelor’s Apprenticeship is accepting applications for our January 2025 Cohort! 

 

Our innovative Complete-a-Bachelor’s Apprenticeship allows participants to simultaneously gain the education and the experience to launch a rewarding career in commercial insurance.

 

If you have two or more years of college coursework from an accredited U.S. college or university (an associate degree or rising junior) this is an exciting way to begin your career with a global industry leader and complete your degree tuition-free!

 

This two-year program combines coursework through University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC), an accredited online university affiliated with the University of Arizona, with relevant work experience and professional development at our office location in Schaumburg, IL. Upon successful interview you will be contacted to start your application to UAGC. 

 

Apprentices who successfully complete this two-year program will:

• Work in a paid, benefit-eligible full-time position at Zurich
• Earn a tuition-free Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
• Receive a Department of Labor Certificate of Apprenticeship
• Be promoted into their next role at Zurich

 

Zurich North America is offering Complete-a-Bachelor’s Apprenticeship opportunities in Reinsurance.

 

As an apprentice at Zurich, you will work and learn alongside professionals and mentors while performing assigned tasks, contributing to team projects and initiatives, and providing support to colleagues.  

 

Your responsibilities may include: 

• Supporting various accounting, claims and underwriting roles within the Group Reinsurance team. 
• Ensuring timely, accurate and complete calculations, recording, reporting, billing, and collections of reinsurance activities.
• Recording, paying and collecting reinsurance premium and loss activity. 

 

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Accounting of rising Junior with two years of coursework in Accounting and no prior years of experience in the Customer Service area. Contingent on admittance into University of Arizona Global Campus Bachelor of Business Administration program.

         

Preferred Qualifications:

• Analytical skills
• Prioritization and multi-tasking skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in a team environment and collaborating across work group
• 2 or more years of work experience and/or leadership role in student activities or community service activities
• Intermediate computer skills, especially Excel<
