Red Hat’s Intern Program is a collaborative effort between the Emerging Talent team and our intern managers. The program is designed to offer a meaningful and well-rounded experience — combining professional development, networking opportunities, social engagement, and impactful work. This is a paid internship based in our Brno office, typically lasting 12 months, with the possibility to extend up to 24 months. Interns work on average 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours, and the expected start date is February 1st.
The Red Hat Information Risk and Security Threat Intelligence team is looking for an Intern with an interest in information security to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will contribute to our Threat Intelligence Program by collecting and analyzing a range of information sources to produce actionable intelligence products. As an Intern, you will immerse yourself in the current infosec threat landscape. This long-term internship will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in producing threat intelligence which helps us determine potential impact of threats to Red Hat’s assets, people, brand, and customers and provide relevant and actionable information to stakeholders.
What you will do
Triage and analyze alerts from a threat intelligence platform
Research, collect and produce threat intelligence offerings (in English) using intelligence life cycle and analytical frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Diamond Model, and the Cyber Kill Chain
Automate the processing of threat feeds using a range of programming tools and other technologies
What you will bring:
You must be enrolled in a Czech university (Bachelor’s 3rd/4th year or Master’s) for the full internship duration and be able to work full-time within 2 years.
Working knowledge of written and spoken English
Enjoying keeping up with the latest information security news and events, seeking to understand these at a detailed technical level
Familiarity with information security theory and concepts would be highly regarded but not essential
Experience with Linux systems administration and programming/scripting would be highly regarded but not essential
