We are currently seeking a ETL Datastage Engineer - HYBRID to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia (US-GA), United States (US).

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented ETL Engineer with strong expertise in IBM DataStage and proficiency in modern data engineering technologies including Python. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable ETL pipelines that enable data-driven decision making across the enterprise.

Job Duties:

• Design, develop, automate, and support complex applications to extract, transform, and load data
• Implement and automate complex processes
• Plan and conduct ETL unit and development tests
• Monitor results and take corrective actions
• Translate data access, transformation, and movement requirements into functional requirements and mapping designs.
• Use SQL to design database schemas, optimize data retrieval, and implement ETL processes.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems related to system functions, environment, and procedures
• Manage service levels, standards, and configurations
• Participate in Agile teams to meet goals
• Development and support of Kafka integrations, including topics, producers, consumers and streaming applications
• Design, develop and maintain Enterprise micro services – security, logging, common APIs and enforcing coding standards.

• Design, build and maintain batch or real-time data pipelines.
• Automate data workflows such as data ingestion, aggregation, and ETL processing.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security, and compliance through quality control procedures.
• Monitor data systems performance and implement optimization strategies.

 

 Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of ETL development with proven expertise in IBM DataStage.
• 3 years of Strong proficiency in Python or Java for automation, data processing, and integration tasks.
• 5 years of experience Advanced SQL skills for complex data transformations and performance tuning.
• 5 years of experience Solid experience in data modeling (star/snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).
• 5+ years experience with databases, including Oracle, DB2, Teradata, SQL Server, and Access

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Unix Shell Scripting;
• Experience with Spring boot is prefered.
• Knowledge of Kafka and streaming solutions is a plus

Location: Atlanta Midtown - 3 days in-office + 2 day remote. Office mon, wed and thu - 9 to 6
