Summary of Job Duties:
The Skilled Tradesman Generalist is responsible for performing general maintenance work within their assigned residence hall. These duties require basic knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc. Other duties as assigned. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
At least five years of continuous general building maintenance experience including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least eight years of continuous general building maintenance experience including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of general maintenance practices
Ability to work independently without close supervision with a high attention to detail
