AML Compliance, Senior Manager – Paris area, France
Hybrid - 3 days at the office per week
We’ll be looking for you to be at the heart of our compliance division. This is an opportunity to work globally as you develop and lead innovative initiatives alongside Global Compliance, to enhance improvements that will shape the compliance function.
Role Responsibilities
- Steer the compliance strategy and champion strategic initiatives as you influence others to successfully deliver them.
- Lead the country’s anti-financial crime program, manage relationships with the local regulator and associated bodies, respond lead oversight of Western Union’s agents through our Agent Oversight program.
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies, procedures, and programs to minimize potential money laundering risk and ensure the company is meeting its anti-money laundering requirements for assigned functions.
- Developing strong ongoing relationships with local and global partners and act as the trusted advisor to senior management.
- Provide training, job performance evaluation, and resource support to the local team.
Role Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in local AML and Regulatory Compliance, general and/or risk-based compliance, yielding a comprehensive understanding of technology and best practices in the compliance field.
- Experienced in managing a compliance team and proven ability to foster collaboration and alignment with key stakeholders; marshals the resources needed to get the work done.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a management/supervisory position with direct reports.
- Strategic thinker and be analytically minded in your approach whilst remaining able to manage change.
- You’ll need a proven track record of moderately complex problem-solving and decision-making.
- You’ll have the agility and adaptability to take on additional responsibilities as your role evolves.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
- Previous experience with agile working methodologies is also desirable.
