UPS Field Service Engineer - West Palm Beach

<p>&nbsp;</p> <blockquote> <p><strong><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Position Overview:</span></strong></p> <p>A highly skilled UPS Field Engineer is needed to apply an in-depth knowledge of UPS start-up, testing, and operations. This role involves commissioning, maintenance, and emergency support for power electronics at customer sites, primarily in the South Florida region.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>•Conducts commissioning-focused design reviews, prepares test procedures and reports, and oversees on-site testing.</p> <p>•Performs preventive maintenance, emergency response, equipment start-up, and field modifications.</p> <p>•Coordinates with technical support to resolve maintenance or operational issues.</p> <p>•Assists in developing Methods of Procedures (MOPs).</p> <p>•Reports to a supervisor for any unusual issues or developments.</p> <p>•Trains periodically at company headquarters on testing equipment and rebuilding systems.</p> <p>•Completes Field Service Reports promptly and provides proactive recommendations to clients.</p> <p>•Candidate will be based from home.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>•Minimum of 3-5 years' experience. Preferred 10+ years of relevant experience.</p> <p>•Skilled in troubleshooting equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDUs, STSs, etc.</p> <p>•Proficient with hand tools and test equipment for maintenance and repairs.</p> <p>•Strong verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.</p> <p>•Ability to work independently with resourcefulness and initiative.</p> <p>•Knowledge of equipment manufacturers’ specifications.</p> <p>•Physically capable of bending and lifting up to 100 lbs as required.</p> <p>•Willingness to work nights, weekends, and be on-call when needed.</p> <p>•Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.</p> <p>•Prior experience with third-party UPS service providers is a plus.</p> <p>•OEM factory training or experience with brands such as Emerson/Liebert/Vertiv, APC/MGE/Schneider, or Eaton/Powerware/PDI is required.</p> <p>•A technical degree (e.g., DeVry, Lincoln Tech) is a plus.</p> <p>•Military veterans with experience in Electrical/Mechanical systems are highly valued (Navy EMN, ETN, MMNs, Army Power Generation, Air Force Power Production, Coast Guard, etc.).</p> <p>•Must have a clean driving record.</p> <p>•Primarily regional travel within South Florida; occasional national travel may be required for emergencies.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong
