Job Summary
River Roast is a combination restaurant and event venue. In events, every day is different between weddings, corporate events, and social events ranging from 30 to 700 guests. We are looking for seasonal banquet bartenders to join our banquets team for our upcoming busy season.
Qualifications, Job Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests by following safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times.
- Availability to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends and late nights.
- Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours or more.
- Exhibit strong communications skills to work with staff from other departments and perform job duties during larger scale events and functions.
- Check guests at the bar for proper identification. Adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained.
- Set up assigned bars; stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, ice and produce. Lock up and store all beverage product, food, and equipment items at shift end.
- Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner. Maintain friendly demeanor when interacting with and serving customers. Attends to client’s needs and ensures that guest’s needs are met.
- Take and/or process orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practice proper portion control.
- Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keep work area clean and organized.
- Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges.
