General Summary:

The Business Process Analyst will provide reporting and analysis of forecast data, budget and other portfolio data, processes, and operational trends. This position will manage specific projects from inception through deployment and is directly responsible for bringing new processes to implementation. In addition, this role will support and mature Hardware Asset Management (HWAM) practices to improve asset inventory accuracy, strengthen security and compliance controls, and enable lifecycle governance from procurement through disposal.

This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 2+ years of related business process analysis experience.

Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 4+ years of related business process analysis experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of related business process analysis experience.

Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years data analysis and/or IT/Business Process experience required.

  • Experience with ServiceNow and supporting Hardware Asset Management (HWAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes (inventory, lifecycle, controls) preferred.

  • Ability to analyze complex data sets to identify and quantify patterns and trends; reconcile variances across multiple data sources (e.g., ServiceNow/CMDB/asset repositories, discovery tools, purchasing data).

  • Understanding of asset lifecycle concepts: request/procure, receive/tag, deploy/assign, move/change, refresh, retire/dispose, and records retention.

  • Familiarity with asset identification methods (asset tags, serial numbers), chain-of-custody concepts, and audit readiness practices.

  • Capable of creating detailed process flows to address existing and new processes.

  • MS Office knowledge is required; expert skill level of MS Excel and PowerPoint is essential (pivot tables, Power Query, dashboards).

  • Must be detail oriented & highly organized.

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively on a cross-functional team and with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analysis on core processes including operational metrics, and improvements for efficiencies and policy compliance within Hardware Asset Management (HWAM) and End User Services organization.

  • Own and execute hardware inventory data quality activities (e.g., serial number completeness, asset tag standards, location/assignment accuracy).  Work with global leads to enforce asset management processes.  Manage Value Add Reseller and OEM orders placed and proactive budget tracking impact.

  • Review core processes and recommend continuous process improvements. Design processes that involve cross-collaboration with IT, IT Security, Procurement, and corporate functions to meet desired outcomes.


Hardware Asset Management (HAM) / Lifecycle Governance

  • Define and document end-to-end hardware asset lifecycle workflows (procure/receive, tag, deploy/assign, move/change, repair, refresh, retire/dispose) and supporting controls (approvals, segregation of duties, evidence collection).

  • Establish and maintain standards for asset records (required fields, naming conventions, ownership/assignment rules) and ensure alignment with ServiceNow/CMDB/asset repository requirements.

  • Execute procurement of standard and non-standard hardware and computer peripherals.  Ensure assets are recorded accurately upon receipt and changes are reflected throughout the lifecycle.

  • Plan and execute periodic inventory reconciliations and audits (physical and logical), investigate variances, document root causes, and drive corrective/preventive actions.


Reporting, Metrics, and Stakeholder Communication

  • Conduct global Governance meetings to maintain metrics, track and report on Key Performance Indicators (e.g., inventory accuracy, timeliness of updates, audit exceptions, aged/unknown assets).
