Position Overview

Under general direction in the Bureau of Collections, Fiscal Services, DHS, provides secretarial and complex, specialized office support functions to Revenue Management Manager and staff, assisting other Bureau’s within Fiscal Services as needed.  Utilizing personal computer, keyboards a variety of difficult and complex materials from rough draft or handwritten hard copy which contain legal terminology such as memos, tabular statements, statistical reports, etc. which involve formatting the production of reports, rules, etc.  Establishes and maintain all office files for Revenue Management accounts, including suspense, tickler and follow-up files.  Maintains various manuals and rules.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provides secretarial and complex, specialized office support functions to Revenue Management Manager and staff, assisting other Bureau’s within Fiscal Services as needed. 
  2. Utilizing personal computer, keyboards a variety of difficult and complex materials from rough draft or handwritten hard copy which contain legal terminology such as memos, tabular statements, statistical reports, etc. which involve formatting the production of reports, rules, etc.
  3. Establishes and maintain all office files for Revenue Management accounts, including suspense, tickler and follow-up files.
  4. Maintains various manuals and rules.
  5. Receives, opens, sorts, date-stamps, and distributes incoming mail.
  6. Performs all duplicating functions for the unit.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of secretarial/business college OR completion of high school and two (2) years of related office experience OR two (2) years of independent business experience.
  2. Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 30 wpm.

Work Hours:  8:30am - 5:00pm Monday-Friday
