VP, Supply Chain
 

Orora Packaging Solutions is looking for an inspirational VP, Supply Chain to oversee and drive the overall planning, implementation and day-to-day execution of a our North American (US, Canada, and Mexico) supply chain.
 

Position Summary
 

The VP, Supply Chain will be responsible for transforming the Supply Chain function into a state of perpetual performance excellence - providing the company with a sustainable competitive advantage, as well as driving alignment and synchronicity between Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain and Operations to continually deliver solid financial results and meet/exceed customer service levels. This role will need to influence supply chain strategies and operations throughout the business – by leveraging direct reporting relationships.
 

Working closely and collaboratively with the regional Business Unit (BU) leaders, the VP, Supply Chain will create optimal strategic plans for Warehouses operations.
 

This position will report to the Chief financial Officer
FSLA Status: Exempt
 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership

 

  • Provide executive leadership for the enterprise-wide supply chain function supporting the Orora Packaging Solutions business (and brands).
  • Drive change across the organization, in partnership with BU and global leadership to move the enterprise to the next level of warehouse operations, while incorporating the best practices already in place within certain parts of the organization and providing the thought leadership to adapt new best practices.
  • Set network and fulfillment strategy to ensure a cost effective and agile fulfillment.
  • Review and improve warehouse operation, deployment and overall efficiency.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders during the SAP ERP implementation to ensure the system is designed to best support supply chain strategic objectives.
  • Assume traditional leadership and coaching responsibilities such as providing feedback, talent development, and compensation review and promotion advocacy.
  • Create organizational bench strength through personal development plans, succession planning, and performance coaching.
  • Champion the product and the customer's needs and implements a model of continuous improvement in both company goals and spend management.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, targets, and goals; ensure direct reports have appropriate information and resources needed to be accountable for results.
  • Set supply chain metrics and goals
  • Plan for the future - unprecedented market conditions, intensive local and import competition and increasing cost pressures which are being felt not only by us, but also from our customers who are looking to find greater cost savings and value in their supply chain.
  • Champion the product and the customer's needs and implements a model of continuous improvement in both company goals and spend management.
  • Perform other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications
 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (or relevant discipline) required. MBA preferred.

 

Industry Experience

  • 15+ years’ experience in warehousing & supply chain management of which 10 years is at managerial level.
  • Strong Business Acumen: Has a pulse on the industry and identifies competitive opportunities; acts quickly to seize opportunities with the ability to identify and capitalize on both trends and
