Job Description

Eurofins NDSC Environment Testing Americas, Inc is searching for an Operations Optimization Leader, Eurofins Environment Testing - USA.

The Operations Optimization Leader will report to the Director of Operational Excellence. Operations Optimization Leader responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Keep track of all the ongoing Operational Excellence and Technical/LEAN team projects across US Eurofins Environment Testing and manage communications across stakeholders by making sure that the project database is accurate and up to date.
  • Works on consumables reduction throughout consumables studies with oversight on the ongoing and future Kanban system implementation.
  • Analyze current equipment and processes, lead the LEAN projects to help improve the productivity.
  • Support the development, implementation and optimal use of equipment and systems and ensure its efficient usage at all levels of analysis to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Design and lead projects to streamline and improve the analysis process and make good use of IT to achieve high efficiency.
  • Works closely with Operations, Quality and IT departments for implementing new equipment, new analytical processes and new lean procedures.
  • Implement LEAN process controls, validations and metrics for the analysis equipment to monitor the efficiency of the analytical testing  process.
  • Performs LEAN trainings and workshops.
  • Set up customer centric Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress. Follow up as appropriate and become hands on if required to ensure achievement of goals.
  • Analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement recommendations as well as manage the corrective actions to ensure lean processes are implemented.
  • Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
  • Ensure coverage and performance
  • Foster morale and teamwork

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Master’s degree a plus
  • Proven track record of implementing LEAN and efficient process improvement in a laboratory environment, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Strong leadership, initiative, and teambuilding skills

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, or other Environmental related degree concentration (engineering is also good)
  • Hands on knowledge of Lean/six sigma principles and experience in implementing projects using lean or six sigma methodologies is required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or the ability to obtain a VISA to allow for work authorization in the United States.

The position is a salaried full-time position to be located in Eurofins’s Houston (Stafford), Texas (USA) Center of Excellence location.

Availability on traveling up to 50%
