Plans, develops, implements, evaluates, and directs all operational and transformational activities of the center for informatics and analytics, as well as the development and integration teams. This is a highly visible position that works with the Chief Information Officer and Data Analytics Officer to implement strategic direction of enterprise informatics and analytics for the academic, research, and healthcare missions of the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). Emphasis on Epic data is a critical component for success.Education & Experience
Education and Experience Required:Bachelor's degree and five (5) years experience in healthcare, data analytics and governance, data science, development and integration, team leadership, project management and stakeholder engagement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with UMMC faculty and staff, advisory and governance boards, funding agencies, state agencies, external stakeholders, and clients and constituents of the center. Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities that include but are not limited to organizational leadership, the ability to provide consultation and recommendation to UMMC administration and senior leadership, an awareness of the current academic, research, and healthcare environment, and an awareness of and commitment to the mission of UMMC. Knowledge of technology used for informatics and analytics, as well as development and integration activities. Ability to develop and implement strategic transformational and operational plans. Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking, and creativity when resolving issues. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Analytical and organizational skills. Ability to supervise, evaluate, and/or provide guidance to assigned personnel. Results-oriented focus and orientation to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Chief Information Officer and Data Analytics Officer to provide vision, direction, development, and deployment of enterprise informatics and analytics strategy to enhance UMMC's academic, research, and healthcare missions.
