Forklift (Highlift) Operator - Freezer Loader

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations in a freezer environment. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and staging product while maintaining accurate inventory and following company safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify inbound product

• Store and organize product in freezer warehouse using proper rotation (FIFO)

• Pick and stage orders as required

• Operate forklifts and loading equipment safely

• Assist with loading/unloading trailers

• Follow all safety policies and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred; must obtain company certification (including high-lift certification)

• Ability to follow directions and work independently

• Basic math, reading, and communication skills

• Strong teamwork and time management skills

• Ability to climb stairs/ladders

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

• Bilingual Spanish/English skills are encouraged but not required. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.

Compensation & Schedule

• Starting pay: $18.49 per hour

• Increase to $19.49 per hour upon successful completion of company high-lift forklift certification requirements

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Overtime and weekend work may be required based on operational needs

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Freezer environment up to -20°F and high noise levels

• Standing for extended periods; frequent lifting up to 50 lbs

• Repetitive stacking (approximately 400–500 cases per shift)

• Frequent stooping, kneeling, and reaching

• Ability to safely place pallets on racks up to 40 feet high

• Vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
