Eligibility Coordinator

Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Verify dental insurance benefits (Medicaid, PPO, private plans) prior to appointments
• Confirm patient eligibility, coverage limits, frequency limitations, waiting periods, and pre-authorizations
• Identify coordination of benefits (COB) when dual coverage exists
• Explain insurance benefits and patient financial responsibility to parents/guardians
• Communicate clearly regarding co-pays, deductibles, and non-covered services
• Update insurance information in system
• Additional duties as needed taking out the trash, refilling supplies in restrooms, and any other necessary tasks in our office

Requirements

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a dental front office setting
• Customer Service experience
• Passion for delivering the best experience
• Ability to collaborate and be team-oriented
• Knowledge of Medicaid and private dental plans
• Familiarity with dental procedure codes (CDT codes)
