Luminar Technologies is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Platform Engineer to support the cloud and on-prem infrastructure, our CICD and data processing pipeline, and large scale storage. Responsibilities

• Write and maintain core infrastructure code (IaC)
• Write and maintain application deployments (k8s)
• Define Monitoring and Alerting for core infrastructure and application deployments
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain all cloud and on-prem resources
• Lead post-mortem activities and create documentation

 

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science and Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of industry experience
• 2+ years of strong hands-on experience of programming in Python, Go, Bash or similar languages
• Expertise with containers and related technologies (docker, podman, kaniko, buildah) 
• Experience with cloud native infrastructure (AWS, GCP or Azure) and technologies (k8s, GitOps, crossplane, karpenter etc.)
• Hands-on experience with code CI/CD workflows and tools (Gitlab, Argo suite)
• Cross platform experience (Linux/Windows)
• Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks (e.g. Prometheus, loki)
• Experience working with Artifact management systems (e.g. Artifactory)
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive Linux troubleshooting experience
• Advanced networking knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to motivate others, drive collaboration, and quickly resolve conflicts
• Enjoy working within a dynamic and continuously evolving environment
• Able to work successfully in cross-functional teams, especially across organizational and geographical boundaries

• Experience in working in Agile teams and within frameworks such as SAFe
• High energy personality, with a strong and demonstrable work ethic

At Luminar, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays a base between $142,000 and $199,000* per year. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including: equity in the form of restricted stock unit awards, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement for formal education related to advancing your career at Luminar. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire and schedule type.
