Overview

The Accounting Associate’s primary duty is to review daily transactions and communicates discrepancies to management while managing other duties.

NOTE: This position is an in-office, Mon - Fri opportunity in our Lake Jackson, Texas office.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Research daily exceptions for anomalies and discrepancies
• Communicate problems and discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner
• Correct entry errors as needed and provide feedback to site level bookkeepers
• Administer the company purchase card program
• Administer company vehicle registrations and the EZ tag program
• File all applicable documents in repository
• Review scanned documents for completeness and accurate filing
• Maintain relationships with internal customers
• Apply working knowledge of the practices, procedures, and principles of auditing to exception auditing
• Must have the ability to prioritize based on urgency
• Reception duties such as answering and directing calls, greeting guests in a professional manner
• Research and resolve customer questions
• Coordinate pick-up and delivery of mail services which includes but is not limited to US mail and third party carriers
• Process, receive, sort and forward mail
• Order, receive, stock, and distribute office supplies
• It is an essential function of this job for the employee to work in office/in the employee’s assigned work site. No remote work is available
• Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
• Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

• High school graduate, college degree preferred
• 2 years accounting experience
• 2 years audit experience preferred
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as other Microsoft products
