Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Technical Shop Floor Support III to join our ME A320 department based in Mobile, AL.

Responsible for the manufacturing assessment of non-conformities, late changes to support production, and supporting and identifying continuous improvement opportunities for the manufacturing process. Responds to technical questions and explains work orders/drawings, especially for aircraft mechanical related items. Establishes and maintains effective communications with FAL production and serves as interface to the onsite back office for work order adaptation.

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:

Act as expert in all processes and activities related to METSFS organization.
Provide guidance and training to the members of the METSFS team.
Handle Non-conformities within assigned area (Cabin, Systems, Electrics, or Structures by Station), create specific work orders for FAL rework, establish/verify the technical content of non-conformities, and validate documentation.
Provide technical support for production on all issues including oversight of directed changes.
Initiate availability of replacement parts and tooling required for work and rework activities.
Manage continuous improvement measures with reoccurring non-conformities in collaboration with quality.
Support improvement and efficiency projects for FAL and ME department.
Exchange information with local and European colleagues.
Participate as an active team member to support ME activities in the FAL.
