Role Description: 

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM) to support the Medical Marijuana Program (MMP).This position focuses on system enhancements, regulatory compliance, and the seamless transition to new systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects with cross-functional teams and delivering results in dynamic environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management:
• Oversee the procurement and implementation of a new Bureau of Medical Marijuana (BMM) system.
• Transition operations from legacy systems to the new platform with minimal disruption.
• Operational Support:
• Monitor existing BMM systems, address technical issues, and enforce SLAs.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for system maintenance and upgrades.
• Change Management:
• Support governance committees and execute decisions related to the Medical Marijuana System.
• Manage the transition from Salesforce Helpdesk to a new ticketing system.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the DOH, vendors, and cross-functional IT teams.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements and risk logs.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:
• 7–9 years of project management experience, leading complex IT initiatives.
• Expertise in all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., RAID logs, SharePoint).
• Certifications:
• PMP certification (preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Health and Human Services (HHS) programs.
• Experience managing Salesforce projects or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance processes within public health systems.

•  Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.
