The Creative Operations team within the Wayfair Creative Group is responsible for driving operational excellence at every step of the creative process - from initial brief intake all the way to final asset delivery. Our team is made up of project managers, producers, quality assurance and automation experts, and analysts, and our mandate is to keep creative projects on-time, on budget and on brief, all while fostering an environment in which creative quality and innovation can flourish.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will drive the Creative workflow for the Specialty Retail Brands Content Creative Team. You will build relationships and collaborate with a broad set of senior stakeholders such as Brand Managers, Content Managers, Marketing Channel owners, and Leadership (GM, CMO). You will own major initiatives that drive efficiency in our process, challenge the way we work (for the better) and set us up to deliver exceptional experiences for our internal and external customers that are optimized, data-driven and reinforce our brand value propositions.
At a high level, your mandate is to maximize the return on investment of limited creative resources across a disparate group of business stakeholders with occasionally competing or conflicting objectives. You will oversee end-to-end creation of brand and content creative, working alongside your Marketing Studio counterpart to develop workflows and processes that optimize output and drive a clean stakeholder experience.
Your Day-to-Day
- Strategically map creative resources to high quality work that drives our brand and business goals
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of multiple high priority projects concurrently
- Leverage data to understand and address opportunity areas in creative workflows and timelines
- Manage the planning of monthly sprints for the Creative team
- Report on Creative Group KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for ongoing improvement
- Drive efficiencies across all aspects of our work, from intake to delivery, from upfront planning through to retrospective learning, in collaboration with the Creative leads and stakeholders
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of experience in relevant areas (e.g. creative operations, production, brand strategy, marketing operations)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Exceptional written, visual and verbal cross-functional communication skills
- Proven track record of collaboration, taking ownership and driving results
- Ability to problem solve and pivot to the needs of the growing business
- Ability to see things from both a creative and business point of view
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Expert at prioritization, you can evaluate the needs of multiple stakeholders and make decisions as to which research initiatives are (and are not) critical to the business
- Ability to lead by example, represent the team internally and externally
- Proactive, forward thinking and collaborative
Good Things to Have
- Experience with project management tools and systems (e.g. Jira) is a plus but not required
- Google Suite application experience preferred
- Experience partnering directly with a creative team, either agency-side or in-house, to accomplish brand or marketing KPIs
