Job Description

ServiceNow Amsterdam, which is responsible for Data Analytics tools, is currently looking for an exceptional Software Engineer to help build the next state-of-the-art analytics tool.

The DA tools are the core analytics capabilities within ServiceNow and enable customers to report, analyse, visualize and extract meaning from their data. We build a product that transforms customer business information into valuable insights. Our team delivers reporting, performance scorecards, time series analyses, predictive analytics and powerful visual dashboards.

What do you get to do as a Software Engineer?

As a Software Engineer you will be a key member of the team in charge of building the next generation of our analytics tool. You will help design and deliver reporting, analytics APIs and applications on the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you’ll be the backbone of our development process. In addition to coding, you’ll contribute to the future of our product and participate in planning activities.

You will own your code from design through implementation and test, delivering high quality and valued software to customers. You will work closely with our designers and Product Managers, our Platform Teams, our Customer Success team and other global ServiceNow teams.

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, we need an engineer who has:

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience developing complex UI in Javascript (it’s a plus if using a framework that has Virtual DOM and uses Web Components).
• Experience with Java, with solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns and Cloud/Web technologies.
• Good knowledge of SQL and data structures.
• Knowledge of unit and integration test frameworks.
• Experience with one or more source control systems and automation frameworks, preferably Git and Maven.
