• Position Overview
• We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented ICT Systems and Security Officer to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain broad experience in both ICT administration and cybersecurity, while contributing directly to the management of our ICT infrastructure, providing technical support, and strengthening our security posture.
• Key Responsibilities
• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
• Assist with the installation, configuration, patching, and updating of systems and applications
• Help manage and maintain user accounts, access permissions, and group policies
• Monitor and support system performance and health
• Maintain the ICT asset inventory, including hardware and software licenses
• Assist with ICT procurement and vendor coordination, including monitoring vendor ICT service resilience and compliance
• Help test and verify backup, disaster recovery, and operational resilience processes
• Support security audits, including documentation, evidence gathering, and maintaining compliance records
• Assist with access controls and user authentication, including regular access reviews
• Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs, escalating or investigating incidents as needed, and documenting incidents and remedial actions
• Conduct vulnerability scans and assist with remediation efforts, including patch management
• Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools such as antimalware and firewalls
• Assist in developing and maintaining security policies and procedures
• Support user security awareness initiatives and training
• Required Qualifications
• Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of experience in ICT support, systems administration, and/or cybersecurity
• Technical Skills
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID or other user management systems
• Knowledge of common security concepts and practices (e.g., strong passwords, phishing awareness)
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Certifications (Preferred)
• CompTIA Security+ or CEH
• CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+
• Essential Skills and Attributes
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a willingness to learn
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear tech­nical support
• Meticulous and organized, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness
