Patient Care Tech PT SECOND SHIFT

Summary

Job Description:

Part time/ 24 hours weekly/ 12-hour shifts/ second shift

Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients considering the special needs of pediatric and geriatric patients when indicated, assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse of the team/and or unit.

Essential Duties:

• Personal hygiene

• Routine vital signs

• Routine care

• Documentation of patient care in EMR based on scope of practice Responsibility:

• Phlebotomy and various other lab collections

• Placement of appropriate monitoring equipment •

• Performs 12 Lead ECG

Requirements:

• High School /GED

• BLS within 3 months

• Successful completion of an Approved Aide Training Program is preferred.

• Previous phlebotomy/point of care testing is preferred.

• One year job related experience in a healthcare setting providing patient care preferred
