Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate seamless patient scheduling, ensuring optimal practice efficiency and patient satisfaction
  • Master the intricacies of medical billing, including processing insurance claims for major providers like Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna
  • Become an expert in using cutting-edge Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, particularly Osmind, for comprehensive patient management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, demonstrating exceptional communication skills via phone, email, and messaging systems
  • Conduct thorough payment reconciliations and proactively follow up on underpayments, showcasing your financial acumen
  • Manage diverse payment methods, including insurance reimbursements and direct patient payments
  • Craft clear and empathetic responses to patient messages through the EHR system, enhancing patient engagement and satisfaction
  • Spearhead general administrative tasks, continuously improving practice operations and patient care quality

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a medical assistant, with a strong preference for background in psychiatric or counseling settings
  • Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, with Osmind experience being a significant advantage
  • In-depth understanding of medical billing processes and insurance claim procedures
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse patient populations
  • Unwavering commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Current HIPAA certification or willingness to obtain certification promptly
  • Adeptness in using Google Voice for efficient call management
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a remote work environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to the specific needs and processes of an outpatient psychiatry practice
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the pract
