About the Role:The Director of App Engineering will be leading the development of a world-class app focused on helping customers get access to healthcare. This role will build a strong engineering team and build a culture of innovation and outcome-oriented execution. The leader will work closely with Product and Design to define strategies for evolving the customer experience and achieving business goals. This leader will create a data-driven approach to measure the success, reliability and performance of the app releases. This leader will be able to roll up their sleeves and actively problem solve with their engineers when needed.
San Francisco Office: $253,000 - 404,000Seattle & New York City Office: $232,000 - $371,000

Responsibilities:
- Be an inspirational leader to a group of highly talented engineering teams. Ask the right questions and guide the teams to solve business problems with a consumer focus.
- 6+ years of experience managing engineers, leads and managers. Demonstrable career progression from IC to management is an important indicator of success.
- Create a collaborative culture that bridges the gap between design and technical implementation in partnership with the broader Engineering, Design and Product teams.
- Experience building on a variety of tech platforms (e.g. iOS, Android, and Web)
- Ability to roll up the sleeves and actively work with Mobile engineers to resolve technical and organizational issues.
- Collaborate and partner with product leaders to develop strategies for long term evolution of apps at GoodRX.
- Own the release process including publishing the app to Apple App Store and Google Play Store and post launch-support plan.
- Set up the hiring process to build a world class team of engineers.
- Set clear expectations and goals for your team, and measure the impact of your team against company goals.
- Provide structured performance feedback and coaching in regular 1:1’s and team meetings.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant work experience.
- 15+ years of experience in technology related roles. 6+ years as a people leader, leading mobile apps teams and/or operations activities would be a plus.
- Must be comfortable with decision making, executing on plans with flexibility, while keeping the strategic objective/vision in alignment.
- Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work across multiple, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, experienced in working with executives.
- Leading geographically distributed engineering teams. Passionate about people development through coaching and mentoring.
