SUMMARY
Coordinate, direct activities and individuals involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, advertising and other materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop Equipment/service schedules based on forecast and project site need dates, documentation need dates and new product development needs.
- Understand, establish and issue Request for Proposal (RFP) for Power Generation Auxiliary engineered systems, skids, components procurements.
- Establish, evaluate, and select suppliers to develop a qualified supplier base.
- Execute Purchase orders via ERP system preferably SAP. Other ERP experiences will be acceptable.
- Base technical knowledge of gas turbine and steam turbine auxiliary commodities is a plus.
- Support major procurement activities including procurement of capital equipment and new projects.
- Problem solving of Gas Turbines Auxiliary systems, equipment and procurement issues as they arise.
- Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
- Manage contracts to verify vendor compliance with contract requirements.
- Maintain informational exchanges and communications with all groups and organizations contributing to the fulfillment of material demands.
- The ability to effectively handle purchase orders with scope and/or contractual requirements of advanced complexity and advanced commercial and/or financial risk.
- Must have the ability to effectively handle multiple quotes and orders simultaneously and prioritize work based on schedule demands.
- Provide a central point of coordination for the activities in this process.
- Ability to demonstrate the capability to perform work assignments on a wide variety of tasks with limited supervision.
- Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
- Performance review of suppliers for quality, delivery and reliability.
- Establish long-term agreements with suppliers.
- Provide support to upper management in effort to meet corporate goals, objectives and projects.
- Must have Domestic and International Buying/Purchasing exp and may have to travel Domestically up to 20% of the time.
- Must have handled minimum of $5 million a Year in Contracts.
