Job Description
- Responsible for performance calculations and WIOA reporting requirements, which include participants' employment status during second and fourth quarter after exit and median earnings in the second quarter after exit
- Maintain participant follow-up records (paper and electronic), including file preparation, organization of files, and verification that all information has been received and properly filed
- Responsible for collecting supplemental wage data by utilizing proper forms (Employment Verification Form and Consent for Release of Information) to fax/email to employers; track all faxes/emails for supplemental wage data; and attempt other methods (check stubs, work number, phone call, etc.) of collecting information if employer does not respond
- Conduct follow-up interviews with participants and identify the appropriate information to collect (i.e. new address, phone numbers, additional contact information, and supplemental wage information) and provide job leads/employment referrals if unemployed and seeking employment
- Prepare and maintain records and case files, proper documentation of services provided, narratives of client contacts, or relevant correspondence and monitor and record clients' progress to ensure that goals and objectives are met
- Compose correspondence (i.e. introductory letter, non-compliance letter, year-end follow-up letter, etc.) using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Maintain an awareness of socioeconomic factors bearing on unemployment, local labor community problems, and/or resources relating to the labor market
- Responsible for providing follow-up services, Labor Market Information, job leads, and employment referrals to ensure job retention and skill enhancement opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, such as psychology or vocational/occupational rehabilitation from an accredited institution required and three years of case management or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to be patient and sensitive to individuals with barriers
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
- Experience in a fast-paced, team environment with a focus on performance
- Strong customer service and engagement skills, with training or experience in motivational interviewing and care management techniques preferred
- Familiarity with publicly-funded programs, and preference for experience with Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
- Proven experience in assessing and implementing reasonable accommodations for customers
- Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities
- Proficient in using various electronic systems to carry out duties and responsibilities
Additional Information
Monitor client Employment Service Plan to ensure current up to date employment information. Regularly meet with assigned clients to monitor progress with Service Plan, as well as to assist with mitigating barriers to employment, such as housing, childcare and transportation challenges • Conduct outreach to clients to Provide case management, coaching, and counseling related to customer employment goals • Conduct outreach ensuring clients remain engaged and document client services and activities. Coordination & Collection of working participant pay verification that aligns with program guidelines. Facilitating Start & End Employment Verification Form process. Tracking pay verification to identify retention benchmarks and notifying CAs of Incentive eligibility. Frequent case noting of status updates & benchmark achievement. Request assistance from the Business Service Team to outreach to employers for employment status. Liaison between working participant and other EARN staff/resource agencies. All other duties as assigned.
