What You'll Do

Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, Racquet Sports, the Social Media Manager is responsible for growing our social media presence across new and existing social platforms, and establishing new presences as appropriate. In addition, you’ll build out the future of our social media strategy designed to promote products, generate awareness, grow brand loyalty, and ultimately drive an increase in sales.

 

The ideal candidate is collaborative and able to support projects with cross-functional (Product, Commercial, Marketing) teams of peers, external partners and vendors.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the daily posting for our tennis and pickleball channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Consistently create organic posts to enhance the overall variety of page content.
  • Generate a global social media strategy for each of our Racquet Sports (tennis, padel, pickleball) channels designed to drive business goals.
  • Ensure we are meeting or exceeding key social KPI’s in engagement rate, follower growth, reach, traffic contribution and social-attributed revenue
  • Proactively work with our regional marketing teams to effectively collaborate and support their local social executions. This includes cascading Global vs Regional strategies, providing feedback on content and content approaches, and ensuring proper knowledge of how the Wilson brand is expressed in social media (market to market).
  • Lead our social creator and advocates strategy, including overall goals, target audience and social content campaigns.
  • Manage a contractor supporting consistent community engagement.
  • Stay current on social media platform updates and ensure that best practices are being applied cross the board.
  • Develop recurring social platform and social monitoring reports to inform social media and PR recommendations.
  • Develop and present reports to leadership including establishing metrics, gleaning community and competitor insights, and delivering recommendations on a regular basis to grow the social acumen across the organization.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communication, business or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing brand social media. A competitive background in Racquet Sports considered a plus.

  • Performance-focused individual with experience working from concept to completion, dealing with ambiguity and working toward clarity, while maintaining high quality in outcomes and a strong sense of accountability
  • Global mindset to establish scalable standard operating principles through an understanding of how to work in a global corporate role that indirectly manages regional social teams
  • True subject matter expertise in social media platforms with having a significant first-hand experience with major platforms, their differences, benefits, and unique features. Knowledge of emerging platforms
  • Community engagement/building experience with the ability to design and execute consumer facing social media opportunities and trends in the marketplace.
  • Proficient in end-to-end organic post creation, including social-first photo and video capture, along with caption crafting
  • Experience leveraging social media management and analytics tools, including, but not limited to Sprout, Sprinklr,
