New employees must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005. If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Review and resolve facility bill holds, coding edits and denials/claims rejections to ensure timely and accurate claim submissions and expected reimbursement. With a focus on coding analysis, quality reviews and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide coding/billing support for Revenue Cycle and Clinical areas acting as a resource of knowledge and skill.
  • Assists in maintaining, reviewing and disseminating up-to-date coding information, including additions, deletions and changes to CPT-4 and ICD-10-CM codes
  • Adheres to service excellence guidelines and CMH policies and procedures and demonstrates exceptional customer service delivery in daily interactions with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • One of the following: Certified Professional Coder, Certified Professional Coder - Apprentice, Certified Outpatient Coder, Certified Outpatient Coder Apprentice required upon hire
  • Employees must obtain Certified Professional Coder - Apprentice or equivalent within 365 days
  • Employees must obtain Certified Outpatient Coder Apprentice or equivalent within 365 days
  • Employees must obtain Certified Professional Coder or equivalent within 365 days

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $25.52/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
