What We Are Looking For
The Medical Director of Health Services oversees the running of the Health Center (includes Psychiatry), Pharmacy and Physical Therapy, ensuring that all policies and protocols are written properly and up to date, that all employees know their job responsibilities and carry them out. The Medical Director also collaborates closely with other departments on campus, our public health department and medical directors from other universities.
A Doctoral degree and five years of relevant work experience are required. A Doctoral degree and eight years of relevant work experience are preferred.

What You Will Do
- Provide strategic and operational direction for Health Services to include oversight of scheduling and budget, and supervision of all personnel
- Manage initiatives for Health Services, including patient education and outreach, improving clinic work flow and monitoring charts for quality of care
- Work with Chair of Quality Improvement to find topics for our Peer Reviews
- Run reports and keep our dashboard numbers up to date
- Engage staff at the individual, small group and team level to create a fulfilling work environment
- Participate in leadership meetings such as Division Leadership Team (DLT) in Student Life and Student Health and Wellness Directors to advance the Division and SHW initiatives
- Collaborate with people across campus and health care workers from other universities
- Take the lead in our hiring of new positions in the department
- Provide direct medical services to student patients, using standard of care best practices
- Maintain patient documentation
- Consult with other medical providers as necessary
- Exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty and staff of many social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial and ethnic backgrounds
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
