WHAT WE NEED

The PGY1 Resident Physician provides patient care as directed by their Program Director and Immediate Supervising Physician. The resident will be responsible to the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and Program Director of their respective Program with the goal to become a highly skilled, competent, compassionate, and Board-Eligible physician.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Arrange for discharge and aftercare

  • Compose or dictate admission, progress and procedure notes and discharge summaries

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of patient's medical, physical, and psychosocial status

  • Develop patient assessment and treatment plans

  • Order tests, examinations, medications, and therapies

  • Perform history and physical examinations of patients

  • Perform hospital rounds and present medical problems and treatments of patients as a method of inpatient care and medical education

  • Perform procedures and surgeries under the privileges of an attending physician under direct or indirect supervision as appropriate to PGY level and discipline

  • Provide patient education and counseling covering health status, test results, disease processes, and discharge planning

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

  • Physician license (DR) required

  • Doctorate in Medical (MD or DO) required

    JOB RANGE:

    Post Graduate Year 1 PGY1 Resident Physician $45219.20-$67277.60

    INCENTIVE:

    This position is eligible for shift pay for eligible shifts, and call pay for qualified on-call hours
