About the role

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS:

The Product Manager, Key Customer Team role is focused on working closely with the Key Customer Team, internal stakeholders, and the sales force.  This person ensures strategic planning and flawless execution of all Speaker Bureau Initiatives including Product Theaters. In this role, you will manage a Speaker Bureau Vendor including budget, compliance, and all day-to-day operations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 


•    Lead preparation, submission, and approval process for SOWs, MSAs, for Speaker Bureau and other KCT-related projects
•    Manage Speaker Bureau vendor and Speaker program execution and operations (inclusive of Product Theaters) within all Business Rules and SOPs
•    Communicate and collaborate with FBMs, KC Strat, Franchise Marketing, Strategic Partner team and sales leadership on Speaker Bureau related matters 
•    Successfully manage the creation and use of Speaker Bureau derivative material including review and approval process by review committee (RAMP)
•    Work with Compliance, Legal, and Finance to ensure proper policies and procedures are followed for various projects
•    Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Exelixis activities


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: 


Education:
•    MA/MS degree in related discipline desired and 5 years of related experience; or
•    BA/BS degree in a related discipline with at least 7 years of related 
•    Equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:
•    Experience in customer facing roles in the pharmaceutical industry, or vendor support of marketing initiatives and collaborating with field sales
•    Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing rules and regulations
•    Preferred: 
    Commercial experience within oncology therapeutic area 
    Marketing experience in healthcare (outside of oncology)
    Familiar with the congress planning, speaker bureau management, HCP Contracting and vendor management
    Familiar with Veeva Vault Platform 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 
•    Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
•    Willingness to learn and ability to improve current processes
•    Ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external partners
•    Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills to internal and external stakeholders
•    Ability to work independently to execute against strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines
•    Ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision of success
•    Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience
•    Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary
•    ~30% travel required

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this position is $122,000 - $174,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.

In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan.
