About the role

Duties: Create the GUI portion of AV software to collaborate in the definition of the product roadmap for the upcoming quarters for the Autonomy Vehicles testing tool - AV Test. Use the new tool product to test and validate the source code that they produce performs according to specifications. Collaborate in the discussions with other departments to gather requirements for new features for the tool, as well as propose innovative solutions to them. Conceptualize the overall architecture of the AV Test tool, both for the native and the web versions of it. Evaluate and make the final decision in regard to the technologies, software frameworks and 3rd party libraries to use within the project. Design and implement new features, using C++, Python, QML and Javascript as programming languages. Design and implement comprehensive unit tests to make sure that the quality of the tool we deliver is up to standard. Fix software issues, known as “bugs.” Mentor other members of the team, guiding them through the structure of the project, and answering any questions they may have about technologies, programming languages used, 3rd party libraries, design patterns, etc. Participate in interviews with candidates, for C++, Javascript and Python programming languages.  Hybrid remote work is permitted. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related technology/engineering field plus 5 years of industry experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described below. The skills, knowledge and/or experience need not be maintained over the full term of experience required. Experience architecting and designing complex software applications using Python and C++17/20 used to test autonomous vehicles. Demonstrated ability to utilize JavaScript and web technologies. Salary range: from one hundred twenty-six thousand seven hundred seventy-six dollars to two hundred twenty-eight thousand two hundred eighty dollars per year. This position is eligible for employee referral programs.
